If there’s anyone in Bollywood who’s known for pushing the boundaries of men’s fashion, it’s Karan Johar. His bold and unique sartorial choices have always been the talk of the town, but not everyone is a fan—including, apparently, his own kids!
On Sunday, the celebrated filmmaker shared a hilarious video on Instagram that featured his twins, Yash and Roohi, playfully roasting his fashion sense.
In the video, Yash and Roohi are seen sitting comfortably on a sofa, twinning in matching deep blue T-shirts and grey pants. Clearly impressed by their coordinated outfits, Karan couldn’t help but compliment them, saying, “Oh! You both are literally twinning. I like what you guys are wearing today!” But the tables quickly turned as Roohi cheekily asked her dad, “Why don’t you dress like this more often?”
A taken-aback Karan responded, “You don’t like what I am wearing?” to which both Yash and Roohi firmly said no. When Karan asked why, Yash simply said he didn’t understand his father’s fashion choices, while Roohi bluntly remarked that his athleisure looked more like a nightsuit. Sharing the video, Karan humorously captioned it, “Just another day of being fashion policed at home!”
The adorable video sparked a wave of reactions from celebrities like Bhavana Pandey, Manish Malhotra, Maheep Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Soni Razdan, and Arjit Taneja, who flooded the comments with hearts and laughing emojis.
This isn’t the first time Karan has been humorously critiqued by his kids. In a previous video, Yash and Roohi had poked fun at their father for wearing a kurta, claiming it looked like it belonged to Karan’s mother, Hiroo Johar. “Now they think I am wearing my mother’s clothes!” Karan captioned that clip.
Karan Johar welcomed Yash and Roohi in 2017 via surrogacy. He named his son after his late father, Yash Johar, and his daughter after his mother, Hiroo Johar. He’s raising the twins with the support of his mother.
