Superstar Kamal Haasan recently unveiled a fresh look for his upcoming film, leaving fans and even his daughter Shruti Haasan excited. The actor, who just finished filming Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, appears to be gearing up for his next project.
His production company, Raaj Kamal Films International, shared a glimpse of the new look on X (formerly Twitter), with the caption, “New journey with a new look! #JourneyBegins. #Ulaganayagan #KamalHaasan @ikamalhaasan.” In the photo, Kamal sports a grey oversized hoodie, slicked-back salt-and-pepper hair, and an extended goatee, posing as he gazes into the camera.
Shruti Haasan was quick to share her approval, reposting the image on X with the caption, “Appa dearest (pink heart and evil eye emojis) looking (sunglasses emoji).”

Fans were equally impressed by Kamal’s transformation. One commented, “The legend reinvents himself again!” Another wrote, “Gorgeous Look ... Maza aa gya.”
Some fans even remarked on his youthful appearance, with one saying, “He is looking like your brother,” while another noted, “Looking really cool. Never gets old.”
Earlier this year, Raaj Kamal Films International announced that Kamal’s 237th film would be helmed by Anbariv, the action choreographers-turned-directors who recently won a National Award for their work in KGF 2.
This led many to speculate whether the newly unveiled project is the same one that has now gone on floors.
As for Thug Life, Kamal and Mani Ratnam wrapped up shooting by the end of September. The production house treated fans to a shoot completion announcement on X, sharing a video showing behind-the-scenes moments of Mani. In the video’s conclusion, Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan, and the entire team marked the film’s wrap with a celebratory announcement.
The upcoming Thug Life is set to be a gangster drama featuring an ensemble cast that includes Silambarasan, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami Gopikumar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Vaiyapuri. The film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman.
Kamal Haasan was last seen in Shankar's Indian 2 and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, both of which have sequels in the pipeline.
