Jaya Bachchan turns 77 on April 9 and received wishes from her family

Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan is celebrating her 77th birthday today (April 9). The actress received love and birthday wishes from her family and friends. Although Jaya is not on social media, her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, made sure to pen a sweet tribute.

Navya Nanda took to her Instagram Story and shared a sweet photo with Jaya Bachchan. In the photo, Navya and Jaya Bachchan posed for the cameras, and they adorably looked at each other.

Jaya Bachchan looked stunning in a silk sareer with a pink border. She accessorized her look with earrings and a necklace. Meanwhile, Navya also looked beautiful in a bright yellow anarkali suit.

Alongside the photo, she simply wrote in the caption, "Happy birthday Nani."

However, the actress is not on social media, but Amitabh Bachchan took the time to acknowledge the warm wishes from the fans. The actor took to his official X account and wrote a message for the fans on behalf of Jaya Bachchan.

He tweeted, "T 5343 - to all that have wished Jaya on her birthday, my gratitude and love .. it will be impossible to respond to each one hence this comment here.”

The actor further tweeted in Hindi, “Thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all those who wished Jaya on her birthday. It won't be possible to respond to everyone personally, so I'm writing here. Love, thanks, and appreciation.”

On the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaaniin. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
