Jaya Bachchan reveals Amitabh Bachchan was struggling for Oxygen cylinder

Veteran actress and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan recently made a shocking revelation about her husband, Amitabh Bachchan’s, critical health condition during his hospital admission. She highlighted the dire state of medical facilities and the unavailability of essential medical supplies, such as oxygen cylinders, during emergencies.

Jaya Bachchan stated, “At one point, Amitabh’s health deteriorated so much that he had to be admitted to the ICCU. During this time, he was not in Mumbai.”

She emphasized how critical the situation was, stating that he needed oxygen support 24/7. However, the reality of the medical system left them in distress.

Revealing the shocking inefficiency in healthcare services, she said, “I was personally supervising everything because no nurses were available. The oxygen cylinder ran out, and he was struggling to breathe.” This statement shed light on the severity of the situation, indicating how even someone of Amitabh Bachchan’s stature had to face challenges in accessing proper medical care.

Jaya Bachchan recounted how their family faced a crisis due to empty oxygen cylinders being provided instead of filled ones. “We brought a cylinder in the middle of the night, but it was empty. Can you imagine the condition of the patient and their family in such a situation?” Her words resonated with the struggles that many people have faced in similar circumstances, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the overwhelming situation, she expressed gratitude towards a few kind-hearted individuals who helped in arranging oxygen in time. “Some kind souls helped us, and we somehow managed to get a cylinder. This is a serious issue; it falls under the category of medicine and needs strict regulation.”

Jaya Bachchan urged the authorities to take healthcare issues more seriously and implement stricter regulations to prevent such incidents in the future. “I don’t want to say much, but I will only say that the health of Indian citizens should be prioritized, and a separate law should be introduced for this.”

Her emotional plea highlights the urgent need for better healthcare facilities, ensuring that no one—regardless of their status—suffers due to negligence in medical support
