On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for The Sabarmati Report, commending the film for shedding light on the truth. In response to an X user who tagged him with a video of the film's trailer, PM Modi praised the movie, which focuses on the events surrounding the 2002 Godhra train tragedy, and emphasized the importance of unveiling the facts. His post read, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
The Sabarmati Report delves into the events leading up to the 2002 Godhra train burning incident. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, and produced by Vikir Films, the film stars Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra.
The Sabarmati Report has made a strong start at the box office, grossing an estimated Rs 6.35 crore in its first three days of release in India.
