Nick Jonas has recently released new music, and the singer performed his new songs live at his Los Angeles gig over the weekend.

Videos of Nick playing his songs, including Chains, Hope, Princesses, Sweet To Me, and others, while wearing a brown suit, are making the rounds on the internet.

Social media users raved about the singer's emotional performances and slick motions, particularly when he performed ‘Princesses,’ a very personal song that he dedicated to his daughter Malti Marie.

During a recent interview with People, the devoted father gave listeners a unique look into his fatherhood and the motivation behind the song.

The vocalist talked candidly about the song's creation during a studio session with Jeff ‘Gitty’ Gitelman and JP Saxe.

Nick said, “My daughter loves Princesses and loves to play Princess.”

He further reflected on what went into creating the track and added, "The day we wrote that song, l'd come in - me, JP Saxe and Gitty were writing a different song. And then basically I went to the bathroom, came back and was like, ‘Wait, can we just try something and just take a swing and see?’”

The singer further admitted he wasn't sure whether the idea would resonate. He said, "I didn't know if it was something they would connect with, but I said, '1 have this title, Princesses,' and they both stood up straight and were like, 'Yes, let's do that.'"

He clarified that the song they ultimately composed was written from his point of view as a parent. Nick continued, “The verses are just speaking about how I see her and how she sees the world. And the chorus is that desire to just play princesses and stay stuck in that moment with her forever if I could.”

On the work front, Nick is currently working on a number of film projects, including the highly anticipated 'Jumanji'.
