Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively continued to make headlines for their lawsuit. Justin has now made more shocking revelations about Blake as tensions between the two celebrities were rising behind the scenes. He claimed that Blake was "setting me up for a trap" during the production of It Ends With Us.

According to People, Justin Baldoni texted Danny Greenberg, his former agent at William Morris Endeavour Entertainment (WME), on December 30, 2023, stating that he had had a "really, really bad week" with Blake.

He said that she had gotten in touch with him directly and proposed a private meeting at her house, before focusing on what he characterised as an escalating disagreement over the film's intimate sequences.

Justin stated that Sony executives and producer Todd Black intervened because Blake "refused" to use a body double for sex scenes.

He wrote, "That's just setting me up for a trap," but she insisted on using a body double in his place.

Additionally, he said that Blake rejected his storyboards for the sequences and insisted on keeping both performers completely dressed during what he saw as a crucial romantic moment in the movie. Justin continued, "If you know the book, it's just ridiculous."

Justin told Greenberg that he was giving Blake "95% of what she wants for peace," but that working with "an actress who is rewriting the writer and director" had been "very draining" and "time-consuming" during the holiday break. Baldoni called the situation "a gigantic clusterf***."

Five days later, on January 4, 2024, Justin, Blake, Ryan Reynolds, and officials from the studio met as "all-hands" to review a list of 17 protections that Lively had asked for before work restarted after the strikes.

The actions, which were approved in writing in the middle of November 2023, were meant to allay Blake’s worries regarding safety and behaviour on set.

The two celebrities' legal battle officially began in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni and a number of his friends, including Jamey Heath, claiming sexual harassment and retaliation and demanding $160 million in damages.
