Home Alone star Daniel Stern was charged with one misdemeanour count of soliciting prostitution in California on Monday, January 12.
Joey Buttitta, a representative for the Ventura County District Attorney, told People that Daniel Stern was allegedly cited at a Camarillo motel. According to Buttitta, "he was cited at the location and released."
Daniel Stern was charged on January 12, and his arraignment was set for Tuesday, January 13.
The actor’s rep previously told the outlet, "The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office submitted their ticket or citation to us and it is being reviewed by our prosecutors.”
For the unversed, Daniel Stern rose to fame after starring as "Wet Bandit" Marv in the beloved 1990 Christmas classic. He is now a sculptor and farmer living on a ranch in California.
Daniel Stern has previously revealed that the family who bought the Illinois home used in the film hired him to create a copy of himself and the tarantula that was placed on his face in a famous scene involving Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin.
According to Stern, the piece will be his first self-portrait. He told People, “I've been looking at myself in my studio and I've made myself a lot handsomer than I actually am in real life — just why not?”
The actor added, “I'm going to ship it but they might have like an unveiling or something. It would be crazy to be in [the house.] That house is like a tourist attraction.”
Daniel Stern moved away from the Hollywood lifestyle to a farm in Ventura, where he and his spouse raise cattle, grow fruit, and care for citrus groves. He said that his success in the 1980s and 1990s earned him enough money to not have to work and also gave him a sense of responsibility to make the most of his good fortune.
