With massive global buzz surrounding what is being hailed as the biggest cinematic event of the year, the month of Avatar is kicking off on an electrifying note in India. Advance bookings for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash will open on 5th December, accompanied by a special nationwide push across IMAX and Dolby Vision cinemas.

As audiences count down to the next chapter of the epic Avatar saga, IMAX is calling on fans to be among the first to witness the film in the most immersive format available — featuring the best seats, unmatched visual clarity, and unparalleled sound.

In the days leading up to booking day, the campaign will spotlight special Avatar-themed box office counters across all IMAX locations, offering moviegoers a dedicated, high-energy zone to book tickets and heighten anticipation for the film’s release.

With excitement already soaring, IMAX is encouraging fans to prepare for a surge in demand as first-day, first-show bookings are expected to spike. The company is urging viewers to take advantage of the opportunity to witness Avatar: Fire and Ash in all of its breathtaking grandeur.

Meanwhile, filmmaker James Cameron — the visionary behind monumental blockbusters like Avatar and Titanic — has voiced his growing concerns over the rise of AI-generated actors.

In a recent conversation with CBS’s Sunday Morning, Cameron admitted that the notion of computers replacing human performers is “deeply unsettling” to him. He elaborated on the rapid evolution of generative AI and how the idea of artificial intelligence being able to invent actors, characters, or entire performances feels fundamentally wrong.
