A$AP Rocky is ending 2025 on a deeply personal note, choosing gratitude and community over grand gestures. As he gears up for the release of his long-awaited fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, the rapper is giving back to the very place that helped shape his life long before fame entered the picture.
To mark the album’s arrival on Friday, 16 January, A$AP Rocky has partnered with housing and rewards platform Bilt on an initiative rooted in remembrance and responsibility.
Bilt will cover the full rent for every resident in a Harlem apartment building where A$AP Rocky lived during his teenage years. The donation will pay all tenants’ rent for January 2026, offering real relief to a community that remains close to his heart.
Speaking about the gesture, A$AP Rocky shared, “For me, it’s always been about your community and neighborhood. Harlem made me who I am, from uptown to downtown, and that connection to place is everything. When Bilt said they wanted to cover rent for everyone in the same building where I grew up, that hit different. That’s not just business, that’s understanding what community really means.”
The project ties closely to the meaning behind his new record. A$AP Rocky described the accompanying vinyl release as “my love letter to New York, and being able to give back to the exact place that raised me while helping people across the country with their rent is the kind of partnership that actually matters.”
The limited-edition vinyl, designed by A$AP Rocky himself, is available exclusively through the Bilt app and website.
Don’t Be Dumb arrives nearly eight years after his last studio album, Testing. A$AP Rocky has never rushed his creative process, something he previously explained in an interview with Perfect Magazine. “It’s about who did it the best,” he said. “Everything I do is based off building legacy. That’s why I’m not so eager to just drop, drop, drop. I don’t do things to just try and stay relevant, or keep my name in the conversation. I try to do natural things, creative, ambitious things that really satisfy me.”

Away from music, A$AP Rocky has found purpose in family life with partner Rihanna. The couple are parents to RZA, Riot, and newborn Rocki, and fatherhood has clearly reshaped his priorities.
“Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy,” he has said. Rihanna has echoed that sentiment, calling seeing him as a dad “the greatest thing”.
