Dharmendra’s health has become a subject of intense public concern over the past few days after the 89-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The veteran star, admired as much for his warmth as for his iconic screen presence, has been dealing with age-related health complications. The news of his hospitalization quickly gave rise to conflicting reports. Some suggested he was in intensive care, others claimed it was simply a routine check-up. A few even circulated false rumors about his condition deteriorating further, sparking unnecessary panic among fans.

Hema Malini, who was seen visiting her husband at the hospital, has now addressed the speculation directly. Speaking to HT City, she kept her message simple and steady. “We’re hoping for his speedy recovery,” she said, making it clear that the family is focusing on his treatment and well-being rather than rumors swirling outside.

This is not the first time such confusion has spread regarding Dharmendra’s health. A similar wave of reports emerged earlier this month, claiming he had been admitted due to breathlessness. On Monday, both Hema Malini and Sunny Deol were photographed arriving at the hospital. Sunny’s team has also stepped in to clarify the situation. “This is rumor mongering like always. Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry,” they said, urging the public to avoid speculation.

Dharmendra has remained active in the industry even at his age. His recent appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023) was widely appreciated, especially the tenderness and emotional dignity he brought to his role. Though his screen time was limited, it was enough to remind audiences of the magnetism that made him a star across generations.

His next release, Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, has already been filmed. The war drama features Agastya Nanda in the lead, with Dharmendra playing a supporting but meaningful role.
