Bollywood actor Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja is reportedly set to make her acting debut, marking a surprising new chapter in her life. According to recent reports, Sunita has signed her first Bollywood film, which will be presented by Balaji Motion Pictures and produced by Ekta Kapoor.

As per a report by India Today, Sunita Ahuja will be seen in a pivotal role in the upcoming project. While details about the film’s genre, cast, and storyline are currently being kept under wraps, sources suggest that she will shoot for around 20 days.

The development has already sparked curiosity, especially as it coincides with a period when Sunita has been firmly in the spotlight due to personal controversies.

Sunita’s reported entry into films comes amid ongoing chatter about her marriage with Govinda. Married since 1987, the couple has long been viewed as one of Bollywood’s enduring relationships. However, recent months saw a wave of rumours online, including allegations of Govinda’s extra-marital involvement, which quickly escalated into divorce speculation. These claims pushed both Sunita and Govinda into making public statements to address the controversy.

At one point, Sunita had spoken candidly about the rumours, stating that she was not an actress but “a random girl” who wanted peace and security in her family life. She also expressed hope for a calmer 2026, saying she wished for an end to speculation and wanted a “happy family” going forward. In other remarks, she did not hold back while describing Govinda as “a good son and a good brother,” but questioned his role as a husband, alleging neglect due to his busy professional commitments. She also emphasised that the three most important women in a man’s life should be his mother, wife, and daughter, adding that there should be no space for a fourth.

Govinda, meanwhile, broke his silence on January 18, dismissing the allegations as baseless and calling the entire episode a “big conspiracy.” He claimed that people close to him were being unknowingly dragged into the controversy.

The couple shares two children, daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan. With Sunita Ahuja now reportedly stepping into Bollywood under Ekta Kapoor’s banner, all eyes are on how this debut shapes her individual identity beyond being Govinda’s wife, and whether this new professional turn marks a fresh beginning amid a turbulent phase.
