Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock has recently headlined 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE with several celebrities. However, the wrestler turned actor made headlines for a very different reason. Dwayne has notably grabbed the top spot of highest paid actors of 2024.
Forbes has recently released the list of the highest paid celebrities in the world and The Rock bagged the top spot. The actor earned a huge paycheque last year, even more than famous stars like Ryan Reynolds and Jerry Seinfeld. The actor reportedly earned an estimated $88 million last year due to impressive deals for Red One, Moana 2 and other titles.
However, Ryan Reynolds with $85 million, Kevin Hart with 81 million and Jerry Seinfeld with $60 million have bagged the top 4 consecutive spots.
However, this wasn’t the first time that The Rock has dominated the annual rich list. The latest achievement marked the fifth time he had topped the Forbes list. The Rock first topped the list in 2016 with $64.5 million, and then for three consecutive years, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Dwayne Johnson was last seen in Red One and Moana 2. Dwayne also has a much-anticipated A24 movie coming up. He will next star in the Martin Scorsese film, The Smashing Machine, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt.
Directed by Benny Safdie, the upcoming film is a biographical drama where Johnson portrays Mark Kerr, a former UFC fighter known for his dominance in mixed martial arts during the late 1990s. DiCaprio also serves as a producer.
