Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh brought his Dil-Luminati concert to Chandigarh on December 14, dedicating the show to 18-year-old Dommaraju Gukesh, the youngest world chess champion.

While performing at the concert, he paid tribute to the memorable dialogue from Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.

Taking to his Instagram, Diljit shared highlights of his Chandigarh concert, including a video of him engaging with the audience from the stage. He also lauded Gukesh, who made history on Thursday by becoming the youngest-ever world chess champion after defeating China’s Ding Liren to win the FIDE Chess World Championship. Diljit said, "I dedicate the show to Gukesh because he had thought of becoming a world champion, and he became one. Problems come; I am also facing them every day."

During the concert, Diljit enthusiastically delivered his signature phrase, “Punjabi aa gaye oye” (Punjabis have arrived). He remarked that he had used the line at various events, including Coachella, and couldn’t skip it while performing in Chandigarh.

In the video, Diljit recounted watching Pushpa: The Rise, the first film in Allu Arjun’s franchise, expressing his admiration for it and referencing its iconic dialogue, "Jhukega nahi" (Won’t bow). Adding his twist, he joked, "Saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega?" (If he won’t bow, should the brother-in-law bow?), sparking cheers from the audience. He wrapped up by promising the crowd an unforgettable night.

Diljit Dosanjh is set to wrap up his Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 on December 29 in Guwahati.
