Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues its dream run, not just at the box office but also in the digital space. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane action thriller released in theatres on December 5, 2025, and has been rewriting records ever since. After a thunderous theatrical performance, the film has now reportedly set a new benchmark on OTT with a massive Netflix deal.
Since its release, Dhurandhar has witnessed exceptional footfalls across India. The film has earned Rs 483 crore at the domestic box office, while its worldwide collection has crossed the Rs 700 crore mark. Backed by strong word of mouth and rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, the film has emerged as one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters of recent years.
Now, as per industry buzz, Dhurandhar has also created history in the OTT market. Film critic Ravi Chaudhary recently shared a post on X claiming that the Netflix streaming rights of the film have been sold for a staggering Rs 285 crore. If true, this makes it the biggest Netflix deal ever for a Hindi film.
For comparison, Pushpa 2: The Rule had reportedly sold its OTT rights to Netflix for around Rs 275 crore, which was considered a record at the time. Dhurandhar has now surpassed that figure, setting a new all-time high for a Hindi film on the platform.
Ravi Chaudhary’s post read, “#Dhurandhar OTT Rights SOLD for 285 Cr? As per sources, Dhurandhar has sold its OTT rights for a massive 285 Cr, setting a new benchmark on Netflix. For comparison, Pushpa 2 reportedly sold its OTT rights to Netflix for around 275 Cr, which was considered a record at the time. Now, Dhurandhar has surpassed that figure, creating a new all-time OTT record on Netflix.”
The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast. Alongside Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar features R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles. The story revolves around the dismantling of a terrorist network operating out of Pakistan and draws inspiration from real-world incidents such as the Kandahar hijacking and the attack on the Indian Parliament, while remaining entirely fictional.
At its core, the film follows the journey of a 20-year-old boy from Punjab who is trained for a covert operation and sent across the border, culminating in a gripping showdown that has clearly struck a chord with audiences worldwide.
