December 2025 emerged as the highest month of the year and the third-highest post-pandemic month in terms of admissions for PVR INOX, driven by Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar.

The movie crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in December across the multiplex chain, indicating stronger demand over weekdays and early morning and late night shows. The film has collected a total Gross Box Office Collection (GBOC) of Rs 375 crore to date for the exhibition company.

Dhurandhar opened across 1,250 PVR INOX screens, registering strong opening-day and weekend footfalls, followed by sustained momentum into its second weekend.

In addition, Hollywood's Avatar: Fire & Ash played across all operational IMAX screens, alongside ICE, 4DX, MX4D, and ScreenX formats, reinforcing the continued demand for premium-format experiences.

Both titles contributed significantly to December’s record admissions, supported by strong advance bookings, repeat viewership, and wide-format availability.

Last year was further defined by a diverse and high-performing slate, with 37 films crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office, spanning Hindi, regional, and global titles.

PVR INOX also delivered several notable box office highlights throughout the year, including:

Strong opening and weekend footfalls for major tentpole releases, including global franchise titles and large-scale Indian productions.

A growing contribution from premium formats and curated programming, enhancing both admissions quality and guest experience.

"We are seeing renewed enthusiasm from younger audiences, including Gen Z, who are embracing cinemas as immersive, social destinations. With a robust content pipeline and expanding premium formats, we are well positioned to build on this momentum and drive sustained growth in the years ahead,” Ajay Bijli, Managing Director, PVR INOX Limited, said.
