BTS' Jungkook thanks fans for birthday wishes amid military service

BTS' Jungkook, the Golden Maknae, celebrates his birthday today. As he turned a year older, fans from around the world showered him with warm wishes and heartfelt messages. In response, Jungkook expressed his gratitude and assured fans that he is doing well and will continue to do so during his remaining time in the military.

Jungkook took to Weverse to thank his fans, known as ARMY, for their birthday wishes. He wrote:

"Dear ARMY, thank you for sending me the birthday wishes. I am doing well. I will finish the remaining time in the military well. I hope that ARMY also stays well during that time."

Jungkook, the youngest member of the K-pop band BTS, debuted as a solo artist with his album GOLDEN in October 2023. The album marked a significant milestone in his career. He has also collaborated with several international artists, releasing popular singles such as Seven featuring Latto and 3D featuring Jack Harlow.

Currently, Jungkook is fulfilling his mandatory military service, a duty required of all South Korean males. Despite his enlistment, Jungkook remains connected with his fans, often updating them about his well-being and expressing his appreciation for their unwavering support.

Jungkook is set to release his first solo documentary, Jungkook: I Am Still, which will premiere worldwide on September 18. The documentary provides an intimate look into his eight-month journey as a soloist, chronicling his preparations for the album GOLDEN and the subsequent promotions.

BTS celebrated their 11th debut anniversary in June, marking over a decade of monumental achievements and global influence. While RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are currently serving their mandatory military duties, Jin was discharged on June 12 and celebrated the occasion with fans.
