There is palpable excitement around Border 2, one of the most anticipated Hindi war dramas, and the buzz intensified further on December 16 as the film’s teaser was officially dropped.

Coinciding with the teaser release, members of the Border 2 team marked the day with a spiritual visit to Mumbai’s revered Siddhivinayak Temple, seeking blessings for the film’s journey ahead.

Soon after the teaser went live, several photos and videos from the temple visit began circulating on social media and quickly went viral.

The visuals captured key members of the film coming together in prayer, a gesture deeply rooted in Bollywood tradition, especially ahead of major releases tied to scale, legacy, and national sentiment.

The timing of the visit, on the same day as the teaser launch, added emotional significance to the moment.

Actor Ahan Shetty, who plays an important role in Border 2, was among those spotted at the temple. He kept his look simple and traditional, wearing a white kurta paired with jeans. Ahan was seen greeting the paparazzi politely before joining the others inside the temple premises. His presence drew attention, particularly as this marks one of his most high-profile projects to date.

Producer Nidhi Dutta was also present during the visit. As the daughter of veteran filmmaker JP Dutta, who directed the iconic 1997 film Border, her involvement carries strong emotional and symbolic weight. Nidhi has been closely associated with Border 2 from the outset and has spoken about the responsibility of taking forward her father’s cinematic legacy. During the visit, she was seen offering prayers alongside the team and later posing briefly for photographs outside the temple.

Border 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026. Along with Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. Character posters of all the male leads have already been unveiled, further building anticipation.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 aims to blend patriotism, emotional storytelling, and large-scale action while staying true to the spirit of the original. With the teaser now out and reactions pouring in, the film is firmly shaping up as one of the biggest releases of 2026.
