Sunny Deol is all set to don the iconic Khakhi uniform again in the upcoming highly anticipated sequel, Border 2. The makers have just increased the excitement of the fans by unveiling a new poster and the release date of Border 2 to mark Independence Day.
Sunny Deol took to his Instagram and shared the poster of the film with the caption, “Hindustan ke liye ladenge....phir ek baar! #Border2 hits theatres on Jan 22, 2026. #HappyIndependenceDay!
Meanwhile, the poster features Sunny Deol in his signature soldier persona, reminiscent of his unforgettable appearance in the original Border. In an army uniform and carrying a bazooka, Sunny is a formidable icon of duty and patriotism, rekindling the same spirit that made Border an icon of Indian cinema.
Sunny has previously shared the first glimpse of the upcoming sequel. He wrote, “Mission Accomplished! Fauji, signing off! My shoot wrapped for #Border2. Jai Hind!"
Fans are already awaiting the sequel to the classic 1997 war drama Border, and Sunny Deol has fuelled that excitement by posting his eye-catching first glimpse of the movie on social media and announcing that his shoot is now complete.
This film carries on the tradition of celebrating the bravery and strong spirit of Indian soldiers. It takes audiences on an amazing journey filled with patriotism, courage, and sacrifice.

While the plot of the film is yet to be unveiled, Border 2 is expected to focus on the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, specifically the Battle of Longewala.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features a star-studded ensemble including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.
