January 9 marks a special day in Bollywood as it is the birthday of filmmakers and cousins Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan.
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar wished her cousin and sibling duo on Friday with a heartfelt and adorable birthday message.
Farah Khan turned 61 today, while Farhan Akhtar is celebrating his 52nd birthday.
Taking to Instagram, Zoya shared two pictures. The first was a nostalgic childhood photograph of Farhan and Farah together, while the second showed the siblings cutting their birthday cake. Alongside the pictures, she wrote in the caption, “Farah means happiness and Farhan means happy. No two people could have truer names. Love you, Capri-9. @faroutakhtar @farahkhankunder. Happiest birthday.”
The duo celebrated their birthdays together with a midnight celebration at home. They were seen cutting their birthday cakes as family members gathered around and sang the birthday song.
For the unversed, Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar are cousins. Farah’s mother, Menaka Irani, and Farhan’s mother, Honey Irani, are sisters, making the two filmmakers part of the same family. Both Farah and Farhan have carved successful careers in the Hindi film industry in their own right.

On the professional front, Farhan Akhtar was recently seen in 120 Bahadur, a film inspired by the Battle of Rezang La (1962), a defining moment in Indian military history when 120 soldiers of Charlie Company stood their ground against more than 3,000 Chinese troops.
Meanwhile, Farah Khan is currently receiving widespread appreciation for her popular YouTube channel, particularly her cooking videos featuring her cook, Dilip.
