Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna made a stunning comeback with Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar. The actor, who plays the role of Rehman Dakait, is going viral on social media for his dance moves, creating a new fanbase.
Akshaye has also sparked a new interest in his love life as he is single at the age of 50. However, he almost got married to Karisma Kapoor.
Karisma Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna reportedly had a close relationship. Karisma found comfort in Akshaye, whom she regarded as a close friend, following her breakup with Ajay Devgn. The two fell in love with one another shortly after their friendship opened the door to love.
Randhir Kapoor apparently granted the go-ahead since he was also happy with the relationship. Additionally, it was alleged that Karisma’s father, Randhir Kapoor, also took the marriage proposal to Vinod Khanna for Akshaye.
Everything was sailing smoothly until Babita, Karisma's mother, allegedly objected to the marriage from taking place.
The reports suggested that Babita was not happy about Karisma getting married, as she was at the peak of her career. The alliance never happened. Akshaye, who rarely discussed his private life, never did.
Not a marriage materialWhile Karisma Kapoor moved on in her life with Sunjay Kapur, Akshaye Khanna never got married. While addressing his decision of staying unmarried, he admitted that he is not marriage material.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Akshaye said, “I don’t see myself (getting married), I’m not marriage material, as they say. I’m not cut out for that kind of… (we ask if it’s commitment)… not that, but that kind of life. It’s a commitment, but a drastic lifestyle change.”
He explained, “Marriage changes everything. I want full control over my life. When you share your life with somebody else, you can’t have full control. You have to give a lot of control away. You share each other’s lives."
