Comedian and actor Sunil Grover seems to have found a new way to surprise audiences every single week, and his latest appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show is a perfect example of why viewers keep coming back.

Known for slipping into the personas of Bollywood’s biggest stars with ease, he has gradually turned mimicry into something far more layered — part performance, part affectionate parody.

For a long time, Sunil Grover was best recognised for his Shah Rukh Khan impersonation, a routine that became iconic in its own right. Lately, though, he has been broadening his range on the show, convincingly channelling personalities such as Salman Khan, Gulzar, and SS Rajamouli.

This week, he took things a step further by transforming into Aamir Khan — and did it so convincingly that many viewers genuinely thought the real star had walked onto the stage.

Actors Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday appear to promote their upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri in the most recent episode of Kapil Sharma's The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Sunil Grover, dressed as Aamir Khan, confidently enters the conversation, making light of the actor's numerous marriages and giving mock-serious relationship advice.

In order to keep the atmosphere light-hearted and impromptu, he also teases Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday about the tongue-twisting title of their movie.

As soon as the promo clip was shared online, social media lit up with reactions. One viewer commented, “Abe mujhe laga real wala aamir aagaya same (I thought it’s the real Aamir)”, while another wrote, “He looks more Aamir than Aamir Khan himself.”

Many fans marvelled at how precise the performance was, with one popular comment joking, “AI takes prompts from Sunil Grover.”
