
On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri on Sunday, February 15, devotees across the country marked the sacred festival with prayers and celebrations.
Among those who gathered for the grand event at the Isha Foundation’s Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore were actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Sara Arjun, Srinidhi Shetty and Mouni Roy.
Visuals from the venue quickly went viral on social media. In a video shared by ANI on X, Tamannaah, accompanied by Sara Arjun and surrounded by fellow devotees, is seen dancing joyfully, soaking in the spiritual yet festive atmosphere.
Another widely circulated clip captured Sara Arjun and Srinidhi Shetty celebrating with vibrant dance moves, reflecting the high energy of the night-long event.

Speaking about her excitement, Tamannaah shared how she eagerly anticipates the discourses, cultural performances, midnight meditation and the much-loved annadanam meals served at the gathering. "I am going to be trying to dance as much as I can so I can stay awake," she said, highlighting the all-night nature of the celebration.
Sara Arjun also expressed her heartfelt emotions while addressing the Mahashivratri gathering at the Isha Foundation.

"A very happy Mahashivratri to all of you. I am having the most beautiful time. I can't really express how grateful and blessed to be here and to witness many brilliant performances so far. I can't wait for all the dancing to start."
Mouni Roy described the experience as overwhelming and shared that she first discovered the celebration last year, which inspired her to return this time as well. She expressed her keen interest in witnessing the various pujas being performed and mentioned that this marks the fourth time she has been part of the Mahashivratri festivities at the centre.
The spiritual night also saw the presence of prominent political leaders, including Rajnath Singh, L. Murugan and Devendra Fadnavis, among others.
Themed "Ganga", this year’s Mahashivratri focused on the spiritual, cultural and ecological importance of the sacred river. The night-long programme featured powerful guided meditations led by Sadhguru, alongside vibrant music and dance showcases and live performances by leading Indian artists.
Among the renowned performers who took the stage were Aditya Gadhvi and Prashant Sonagra. Collaborations with Sounds of Isha (SOI) featured performances by Swaroop Khan, Blaaze, Harish Sagane and Dhol Tasha artists. Swagat Rathod, Prithvi Gandharv, Aishwarya Nigam and Deepali Sahay also joined Sounds of Isha for special musical offerings.

A significant highlight of the night was Sadhguru performing the Yogeshwara Linga Maha Abhishekam, offering devotees an opportunity to deepen their connection with the Yogeshwara Linga. According to the press release, millions of people from across the globe registered for the free offering.
To ensure inclusivity, the celebrations were livestreamed worldwide with sign language interpretation, making the experience accessible to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. The livestream continued until 6 am.
