Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently starred in Border 2 and has provided fans a behind-the-scenes look at one of the film's most dramatic fighting scenes.
The actor took to his Instagram and shared a video of the intense fight scene. Sharing the video, the actor penned in the caption, "The worst injury i ever got on border 2. I smashed my tail bone into a rock when i tried avoid banging into the camera."
"It was the worst pain i ever felt. O sustained a hairline fracture on the tailbone which i feel i am still healing from.Thankful to my team for helping me continue that day i could barely walk but we kept going. Grateful for the journey," he added.
Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, and Mona Singh are among the ensemble cast members of Border 2, which is still doing well at the box office and has received praise for its unvarnished, brutal action.
Actor Ali Mughal also reflected on the same and said, “This happened during an intense fight sequence. While shooting in the trenches, Varun was supposed to fall into the boxes but instead hit the wall, injuring his lower back badly. The shoot had to be stopped, and even when he returned in pain, he was determined to finish the scene. That truly showed his dedication.”
He added, “I learned a lot from him that day — the fight looks so real because we both went through immense physical pain, from the rocky surface to his injury. The appreciation the scene is getting proves that all the struggle was worth it.”
Directed by Anurag Singh, the sequel is a follow-up to J.P. Dutta's famous 1997 war movie. T-Series Films and J.P. Films, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta produced the film, which expands the scope of the original and depicts a multi-front war tale including the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy.
