Fans of Sidharth Malhotra have been dealt a fresh delay in the release of his much-anticipated film Vvan – Force of the Forest, as the makers reportedly postponed its theatrical launch to avoid a box-office clash with Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. Originally, Vvan, a mythological folk thriller featuring Sidharth and Tamannaah Bhatia, was slated to hit screens on May 15, 2026, but that date now belongs to Bhooth Bangla, leading to the decision to defer Vvan’s release.
Although the new release date is being kept under wraps for now, the project’s makers have announced that Vvan’s first look poster will be revealed on Sidharth Malhotra’s birthday, January 16, 2026. According to Bollywood Hungama sources, the look promises to showcase an intense and “never-before-seen” transformation for the actor — one that is likely to surprise fans and generate fresh buzz ahead of the film’s eventual release.
Vvan – Force of the Forest has been described as a folklore-inspired adventure rooted in Indian mythology and rural legends, where Sidharth’s character must defend a mysterious forest with deep secrets from external threats. The narrative is shaped by traditional tales and supernatural twists, blending mythology with action and drama in a visually rich setting.
The film is co-directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra, the duo behind the critically acclaimed series Panchayat, and is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF). This marks an ambitious pairing of talent and production scale, fueling expectations for a unique cinematic experience.
