Sara Ali Khan has chosen a calm and understated way to return to social media amid an uncomfortable public fallout with her former college best friend Orry.

Rather than addressing the controversy head-on or responding to the repeated online digs directed at her, the actor appears to be letting subtle signals speak for her.

Her first Instagram post since the comments surfaced was a simple and affectionate birthday wish for a close friend.

Sara Ali Khan shared a collage of throwback holiday photographs from their travels together, keeping the focus firmly on friendship and happy memories.

For the Story, Sara Ali Khan selected Vikram Sarkar’s Naam Chale, choosing lyrics about living freely, not over-calculating life, and staying away from unnecessary controversies.

While she made no mention of Orry or the remarks he has made, many viewers interpreted the lyrics as a quiet, deliberate response.

In contrast, Orry has continued to reference the fallout openly on his own Instagram Stories. He recently announced that he is working on a YouTube series in which he plans to break down and analyse the career paths of Bollywood actors.

In one post, he used Selena Gomez’s People You Know as background music, which is a song about drifting apart and emotional distance — further hinting at unresolved tensions.

The situation escalated after Orry shared an Instagram Reel wearing a T-shirt featuring a bra graphic. When a follower asked what the bra was “holding together,”

Orry pinned the comment and replied, “Sara Ali Khan’s hits.” Responding to another user who suggested she might be laughing the comment off, he added, “At her career? She must be.”

A few days earlier, Orry had posted another Reel mentioning the names “Sara,” “Amrita,” and “Paalak,” which many believed were references to Sara Ali Khan, her mother Amrita Singh, and actor Palak Tiwari. The video was later deleted after quickly going viral.
