Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was recently hospitalised following a medical emergency on February 17, prompting concern across the film fraternity. In the days that followed, his son, actor Salman Khan, reportedly took swift steps to ensure he could balance professional commitments while remaining close to his father during treatment.

The 90-year-old screen legend was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after suffering a minimal brain haemorrhage and was briefly placed on a ventilator as a precautionary measure. A minor medical procedure was carried out the next day. Hospital authorities later confirmed that he is stable and recovering under observation.

Amid this challenging time, Salman Khan is said to have shifted the ongoing schedule of his upcoming film, Battle of Galwan, from Film City to Mehboob Studio. The decision was reportedly made so the actor could remain within close reach of the hospital while continuing to honour his work commitments.

According to sources quoted by India Today, Salman is currently filming an elaborate song sequence for the project, which is expected to wrap up in the coming days. The relocation was designed to ensure the production proceeds smoothly without unnecessary delays, especially given the scale of the crew and logistics involved.

A source revealed, “Salman didn't want the schedule to suffer, especially with a large crew involved. But being available for his father was equally important. Moving to Mehboob Studio made that balance possible."

The same source confirmed that Salim Khan continues to remain under observation and is responding positively to treatment.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is inspired by the June 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers at the border. The film seeks to portray the lives, courage, and sacrifice of the soldiers involved in the conflict.

In the film, Salman Khan will portray Param Vir Chakra (PVC) recipient Colonel B Santosh Babu, bringing to screen the story of one of India’s decorated military heroes. The project also stars Chitrangda Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, and Zeyn Shaw in key roles.
