Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has heaped praise on the blockbuster spy thriller Dhurandhar, calling it his “current favourite” film in a recent live session with fans. During the interaction hosted on the Instagram account of his lifestyle brand, Ranbir was asked about the last movie he truly enjoyed — and without hesitation, he named Dhurandhar, applauding the entire cast and crew for their outstanding work and sharing that “the entire cast and crew smashed it” at the box office and in audience response.
Ranbir said, “The last, current favourite movie was Dhurandhar. Absolutely loved that film. I think the entire cast and crew smashed it. Really good times at the movies.”

Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the biggest Hindi cinema hits in recent times, crossing major box office milestones and earning widespread acclaim for its intense storytelling, performances and technical excellence.
Backed by a strong ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, the film has become a defining cinematic moment in contemporary Indian action films.
Ranbir Kapoor has given fans a major update on his upcoming films, confirming that the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War — starring him alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal — has been postponed due to extended production timelines and the sheer scale of the project.
As a result, his next theatrical outing will be Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part 1, which is now locked in for release during Diwali 2026, positioning it as his first big-screen appearance in nearly three years.
Ranbir addressed the revised timeline in an Instagram Live session, explaining that Love & War is expected to arrive after Ramayana, likely targeting late 2026 or early 2027 once all major schedules and visual effects work are completed.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The sequel will see Ranveer Singh reprising his central role alongside the original ensemble, setting the stage for another high-stakes chapter in the franchise.
