Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav was recently released from the Tihar jail on bail in a cheque bounce case. He received huge support from the film industry, and he thanked everyone for the support.
However, Rajpal also received support from a group of students from an Uttar Pradesh gurukul school. The school students gathered money from their pocket expenditures in a piggy bank for the actor and sent it to the actor's ancestral village address in Kundra.
The gesture was intended as a show of support. In addition, the kids sent a sincere letter wishing to meet him after he was freed.
The actor didn’t respond to the letter, with the students expressing disappointment. They greeted him on his release in a little video that has since gone viral, but they questioned why he had not acknowledged their letter or the money they had donated.
They said that simply a phone call would have reassured them. "If you received the help, why did you not respond?" they wondered.
Rajpal told PTI that he had just recently come home and had not yet had a chance to adequately re-establish contact with his family. He stated that he was still compiling information about the people who helped him through the challenging time.
Rajpal has now appreciated the gesture and noted that he will definitely meet the kids.
The actor indicated there may have been some confusion about the students’ background and said, “As far as meeting the children is concerned, I was told they were from an orphanage. In my view, if children have an ashram, they are not orphans.”
The actor softened his stance after learning that the kids were from a gurukul school rather than an orphanage.

He added, “I am a person who believes in the guru tradition, and all those children are my own. I will definitely meet them, hug them and take photographs with them.”
Rajpal was previously imprisoned in connection with a loan dispute related to his 2010 film Ata Pata Lapata; he had reportedly borrowed Rs 5 crore from Murli Projects Private Limited for the project and was later imprisoned after failing to repay the amount.
According to school officials, the students' contribution was completely voluntary, with the piggy bank filled collectively before being sent to their village address.
