Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has ruled over Bollywood for over a decade before moving to winning hearts in Hollywood. The actress has recently reflected on the transition and shared that although it was difficult to leave Hindi cinema to pursue a career in Hollywood, she persevered because she had always wished to leave a legacy.

The actor recalled that she was one of the best actors in India and that she had once waited for a single shot for fifteen hours just to have it postponed in Hollywood.

During India Conference 2026 at Harvard University in the United States, Priyanka said, “I was dealing with a lot when it comes to my work back in India, and I was trying to survive, and I think my goal was, I want to have a legacy. And that’s the only way I could wake up every morning and go through the small role that I have to do, and a triple banger trailer, which is 3 actors in one trailer.”

The actress continued, “And wait for like 15 hours and not be shot that day. Those are things I hadn’t experienced in my career back home. And I was okay to do it every morning because I was like, ‘I’m going for long term. I’m going for that legacy.”
