Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia recently shared her thoughts on the negative effects of being without signing movies for months or years. She also reflected on the anxiety she faced as a newcomer in the film industry.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Neha opened up about how being at home without work affects her.

She admitted, “I do get anxiety when I’m not working. I have my own ways of coping. Even after 20 years in the industry, when the lights are out, I do put my head into a pillow and cry. I did it three days ago. Do I have my reasons? Yes. Is anybody listening? I don’t know. I don’t want to make a sob story about this because I love the business, movies. Somewhere, I feel it won’t let me down. It gets very tough. There’s judgement.”

Actors are frequently told to have thick skin, yet everything has an impact on them, according to Neha. The worst aspect, according to her, is feeling like life is flying by while everyone else is working.

She went on to say that because she has experienced anxiety numerous times, the only thing that separates her from a novice is her capacity to handle these stages.

Neha mentioned that it gets really exhausting when she doesn't have any acting gigs for three or four years, but she also mentioned that, by God's grace, she always has a job because she works on a variety of projects. The industry, according to her, is gratifying but exhausting.

Neha stated that despite working in the field for 20 years, she is still unable to respond to the question of whether good work leads to greater work.

The actress further recalled how her husband and actor Angad Bedi called her to praise Single Papa and Perfect Family. She said, “He said that now you have two shows and people are praising you, and I was like, Angad, the conversation has to be there.”

She added, “Does good work lead to more work? I don’t know. Sometimes you are sitting at home, and it gives you work. Then you see the trajectory of Akshaye Khanna and you think, ‘Hum bhi 6 saal ghar hi baith jaate hain’ (We should also sit at home for six years).”

On the work front, Neha was recently seen on Netflix’s Single Papa. The comic drama, which is directed by Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya, and Neeraj Udhwani, also features important roles for Kunal Kemmu, Prajakta Koli, Ayesha Raa, Manoj Pahwa, and Isha Talwar.
