Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has completed the Mumbai shooting schedule of his much-anticipated fantasy comedy Naagzilla and is now en route to Delhi for a three-week final filming schedule, marking the near-completion of the project. The film, which blends elements of fantasy, folklore and comedy, has been generating considerable buzz for its unique concept and Aaryan’s transformation into an ichchadhari naag (a mythical shape-shifting serpent).

According to Bollywood Hungama, the Mumbai leg of the shoot wrapped up on January 31, 2026, after about a month of intensive filming with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba at the helm.

The source said, “Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba shot a month-long schedule in Mumbai with Kartik Aaryan. Yesterday, on January 31, the Mumbai schedule was wrapped up. 70% of the shoot is now complete.”

The source added, “The team of Naagzilla are heading to Delhi this month, that is, February 2026, where a three-week-long schedule will take place. The completion of the Delhi leg will mark the wrap of the film.”

Naagzilla is produced by Dharma Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, and marks one of the most ambitious projects in Aaryan’s slate for 2026. The fantasy-comedy — touted as a genre-defying entertainer — also reportedly features Ravi Kishan in a key role and Sreeleela as the female lead, further adding to the ensemble strength.

The film first went on floors in November 2025, and both the cast and production team have worked with tight planning to keep the shoot on track despite the challenges of visual effects and creature-centric filmmaking. Once the Delhi schedule wraps, the focus will shift to post-production, which is expected to involve extensive VFX work given the film’s high-concept narrative.

Naagzilla is slated for a 14 August 2026 release, coinciding with the Naag Panchami festival week — a strategic date that the makers believe will complement the serpent folklore theme. Fans are eagerly awaiting glimpses from the film as Kartik Aaryan takes on a dramatically different avatar from his recent roles, positioning Naagzilla as one of the most talked-about Bollywood releases of the year.
