Agastya Nanda–starrer war drama Ikkis is underperforming at the box office, having collected only Rs 26.35 crore so far since its theatrical release on January 1. Despite initial curiosity around the film, the numbers indicate a steady decline in momentum over the days.

In Ikkis, Agastya Nanda essays the role of Arun Khetarpal in the biographical war drama. According to early estimates by trade tracking websites, the film managed to earn just Rs 85 lakh on Day 9, which was its second Friday, reflecting weak audience traction in its second week.

The film had opened on a promising note, collecting Rs 7 crore on its first Thursday, followed by Rs 3.5 crore on Friday. The weekend showed some stability, with Saturday bringing in Rs 4.65 crore and Sunday emerging as the best day with collections of Rs 5 crore. However, the film saw a sharp dip on Monday, earning Rs 1.35 crore. While there was a marginal improvement on Tuesday with Rs 1.6 crore, collections dropped again on Wednesday to Rs 1.15 crore.

On its second Thursday, Ikkis added Rs 1.25 crore to its tally, taking the total collection for the first week to Rs 25.5 crore. Early estimates suggest that the film earned around ₹0.85 crore on its second Friday, pushing its overall domestic total to approximately Rs 26.35 crore.

In terms of occupancy, Ikkis recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.57% on Friday, January 9, 2026. The film started the day on a low note with 6.75% occupancy in morning shows, which improved to 10.43% during afternoon screenings. Evening shows saw a further rise with 13.36% occupancy, while night shows performed relatively better at 15.74%, indicating slightly stronger footfalls later in the day.

The film is clearly struggling at the box office and is facing stiff competition from other releases such as Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, along with Dhurandhar, which continues to perform well and dominate screens.

Ikkis is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films. The film holds additional significance as it marks the late actor Dharmendra’s final film appearance. The ensemble cast also includes Simar Bhatia, Vivaan Shah, and Sikander Kher in key roles.

Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the film follows the life of Arun Khetarpal, portrayed by Agastya Nanda, who was martyred at the age of 21 during the Battle of Basantar. For his extraordinary courage and sacrifice, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, becoming the youngest recipient of India’s highest military honour at the time.
