Hrithik Roshan’s performance in Kaabil is widely regarded as one of the highlights of his filmography, with the film earning immense love from both audiences and critics. Now, fans have reason to rejoice as director Sanjay Gupta has hinted at a possible sequel.
A journalist tweeted on X, “One of my absolute top picks as far as revenge thrillers go! @iHrithik in top form as a blind protagonist in this excellent @_SanjayGupta cliffhanger. My only question is WHEN do we get to see #Kaabil2 ! #muchawaited.”
To this, Sanjay Gupta responded enthusiastically, “IT’S R E FLA D Y ! ! ! And this time far DEADELLIER!!!!”, confirming that Kaabil 2 is already in the works.
Kaabil originally followed the story of Rohan Bhatnagar, a visually impaired voice artist whose peaceful life is shattered by a brutal tragedy. The film chronicles his calculated and gripping journey toward justice, blending intense action with emotional depth.
Back in 2017, Hrithik had spoken about his connection to the film in an interview with Bollywood Life, saying, “‘Kaabil’ reminded me of my first film I don’t know why. Feels like life has come a full circle. I am feeling the same nervousness that I was feeling for my first film. I don’t know why, but it’s there.” His words expressed the deep personal significance of the role and the emotional resonance he felt while portraying Rohan.
With Kaabil 2 now confirmed, fans are eagerly anticipating a darker, stronger, and far deadlier chapter in Rohan Bhatnagar’s story. Hrithik’s nuanced portrayal in the original—capturing Rohan’s innocence, heartbreak, and simmering determination with remarkable precision—earned widespread acclaim.
Critics and audiences alike praised him for carrying the film almost single-handedly, elevating a familiar revenge thriller through sheer emotional authenticity.
Meanwhile, Hrithik was last seen in War 2, starring alongside Jr. NTR, further adding to his repertoire of high-octane action films.
