Amidst the meme wave, fans have been revisiting the Farah Khan-directed comedy Tees Maar Khan, where Akshay Kumar played a conman masquerading as a celebrated filmmaker.

The massive success of Dhurandhar has not only reshaped the box office landscape but also reignited conversations around Akshaye Khanna’s long-overdue return to mainstream acclaim. As the Aditya Dhar directorial continues its dominant theatrical run, social media has erupted with memes, throwback clips, and nostalgic references celebrating Akshaye’s career.

Amidst the meme wave, fans have been revisiting the Farah Khan-directed comedy Tees Maar Khan, where Akshay Kumar played a conman masquerading as a celebrated filmmaker. He hilariously convinces Akshaye Khanna’s character that he possessed “Oscar-level” acting talent.

That tongue-in-cheek dynamic has now found fresh relevance, as audiences are jokingly crediting Akshay Kumar for “manifesting” Akshaye Khanna’s present-day success.

A fan shared a post on X that read, “Thank you director saab, for giving the nation such an amazing actor.” The comment quickly caught Akshay Kumar’s attention, and the actor responded in characteristically playful fashion, writing, “Kabhi ghamand nahi kiya bhai kabhi ghamand nahi kiya.”

Akshay Kumar also took a moment to express genuine admiration for the film and its team. In another post on X, he praised the project, writing, “Watched Dhurandhar and I am blown away. What a gripping tale, and you have simply nailed it, Aditya Dhar. We need our stories to be told in a hard-hitting way and I am so glad that audiences are giving the film all the love it deserves.”

Dhurandhar, fronted by an ensemble cast and driven by Aditya Dhar’s vision, has struck a chord with audiences despite polarising reactions to its intense violence and graphic imagery. Within just seven days of its release, the film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office, cementing its position as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year.
