Actor Akansha Ranjan Kapoor has opened up about a deeply personal decision for the first time, revealing that she has chosen to freeze her eggs.

The 32-year-old actor spoke candidly about the physical and emotional journey involved in the process as she shared her experience with her followers on social media. She explained that the last couple of weeks included daily hormone injections, multiple medical visits, and coping with side effects such as bloating and mood swings.

Taking to Instagram on March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day, Akansha posted two photos. The first image showed her resting in a hospital bed, while the second featured her dressed in athletic wear. Through her post, she reflected on the demanding yet empowering experience of the past two weeks.

She penned a long note in her caption, "Yesterday I froze my eggs!! I really didn’t plan on sharing, but today feels like the right day to say this… the female body is EXTRAORDINARY. The last two weeks were… intense. Injecting myself with fat needles every day, hormones doing their thing, the bloating, the mood swings, the endless scans, the meds, the IV drip, and finally the surgery."

In her heartfelt note, the actor also expressed admiration for the resilience and strength of women’s bodies.

"But all i wanna say is - women are BADASSES.. and how in awe i am of how wonderfully intelligent and capable our bodies are. The 2nd pic is from today- dressing for the job I want. Athletic and getting back to my routine.. even though I could barely manage a 20-minute wobble around my building. But honestly, that felt like enough! Because this body just did something pretty amazing. Happy Women’s Day," she concluded.
