In order to make a significant impact at the Tata Mumbai Marathon in 2026, Aamir Khan's kids are preparing to combine physical fitness with a passionate mission.

Azad, Aamir's son, gave fans a glimpse of his personal motivation and commitment to causes close to his heart in a recent video in which he discussed why running this year's marathon is so important to him.

In the video, Azad said, "Hi, my name is Azad and I am running the Tata Mumbai Marathon. So there are a few reasons, why I am running the marathon. I've always loved running as a kid and still as a kid i love running a lot. Another reason is to test myself and to see if I am as fit as I think and what i can do and what I can do to improve myself. One more reason being the causes I am running for. Firstly being Agastu and Paani foundation that are really closer to my heart and are great to support always. I'm really excited to run the marathon and support causes that are close to my heart. Please check us out ar the TAta Mumbai marathon. Agastu foundation. Paani Foundation. and please support us."

The video, shared by Aamir Khan Productions, was captioned: "Azad is running the @tatamumbaimarathon 2026 for the two causes close to his heart: @agatsufoundation and @paanifoundation. He's a part of the Khan Family Home Run Squad. Link to donate to the fundraiser in the bio."

Earlier, Aamir’s daughter, Ira Khan, also announced that she would be running alongside her husband Nupur Shikhare, brother Junaid Khan, filmmaker-producer Kiran Rao, and cousin Azad. She called them the “Home Run Squad,” united in support of the Paani Foundation and Agatsu Foundation. “Our commitment to Paani and Agatsu runs deep. See you there,” she wrote, sharing a simple yet heartfelt invitation to fans to join their cause.

The family will take on different categories in the marathon. Nupur Shikhare will run the full marathon, Junaid will participate in the 10-kilometre race, while Kiran, Ira, and Azad will take part in the 5.9-kilometre “Dream Run.” Aamir Khan himself is expected to join, lending his support and further motivating the family’s philanthropic effort.

Both Paani Foundation and Agatsu Foundation focus on crucial social issues, from water conservation to community development.

The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 is set for Sunday, 18 January, starting from the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway Terminus (CSMT).

Donations to support the “Home Run Squad” campaign will remain open through race day, allowing fans to contribute and be part of a cause that the Khan family is clearly running for with both heart and determination.
