Bipasha Basu slams body shaming trolls amid post-partum weight gain, writes "these are deeply disturbing"

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has recently embraced motherhood with her husband, Karan Singh Grover. However, the actress has since received trolls over her post-partum look, but this time she decided not to tolerate the hurtful comments anymore.

Bipasha took to the comment section of Shweta Vijay Nair, a former Miss India and beauty influencer, recent post. Shweta recently shared a reel criticising the unrealistic expectations on women, especially mothers, highlighting the emotional and physical challenges of motherhood and the scrutiny they face over even minor imperfections in their appearance.

However, Bipasha Basu took to the comment section and pointed out the unfair expectations and pressures women face after childbirth. She wrote, “Thank you for your clear words. Hope the human race does not remain so shallow and so low forever… and they encouarge and applaud women for the million roles they play each day.”

“I am a super confident woman with a very evolved loving partner and family. Memes and trolls do not define me ever… nor did they make me who i am. But these are deeply disturbing reflections of the society towards women . Another woman in my place could be deeply affected and scarred with the viciousness,” the actress continued.

She concluded her note writing, “Anyways if we have more strong voices and atleast women understanding and applauding women for who they are then women will rise higher and higher :) We are unstoppable ladies.”

Meanwhile, Bipasha’s actor-husband also slammed the criticism and commented, “We should be putting all the women we know and love on a pedestal and praying to them. They are the gods/goddesses we should pray to. In fact I believe that god/ source is a feminine energy. Nothing else could have created something as beautiful as life. You give us life. You are our gods.”

For the unversed, Bipasha and Karan welcomed their daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover, on November 12, 2022, six years after their marriage.
