Bigg Boss 19: Kunickaa Sadanand's son Ayaan Lall rubbishes favouritism allegations, says ‘Salman Khan sir is fair, he sees intentions’

Bigg Boss 19 has delivered explosive drama right from the opening week, and one contestant who has consistently been in the spotlight is actor-lawyer Kunickaa Sadanand. After Farrhana Bhatt dragged her children into the narrative, host Salman Khan invited her son Ayaan Lall on stage. His emotional words about his mother’s struggles moved both Salman and the audience, sparking conversations outside the house as well.

Ayaan has now told Hindustan Times, about the family’s reaction to Kunickaa’s participation and he also defended her against claims of bias, and issued a subtle warning regarding fellow contestant Tanya Mittal.

Responding to the perception that his mother is “bossy,” Ayaan explained, “Her moral compass is the most important thing to her. Nothing wrong should happen to anyone. She has told me never to lie. She is very smart… She is not a bossy mother, but her whole job is to show lessons.”

He added that motherhood defines her more than any other identity: “They say maa bhagwan ka roop hoti hai, and it’s god’s work to show us lessons. She has been a mother since she was 17. The longest role she has played is that of a mother, not an actress or a lawyer. At the age of 61, you can’t ask her to now switch the roles up. Boss, you want her real personality, or you want her to play a game?”

One of the more dramatic turns came when Tanya Mittal chose Kunickaa as captain, only for her to give up the post three days later.

Ayaan justified his mother’s choice: “Her moral ground is so strong. She saw that Ashnoor’s tiles were more than hers, but then Tanya chose her. Aur voh mummy ko bol rahi hain ki aap mat stress lo, but she was like, ‘No, do what is right’.”

At the same time, he hinted at concern over Tanya’s influence: “She was just finding a reason, and she got it when all the housemates started saying to her that she got captaincy unfairly. So she just did it. But I feel she should be careful, because not everyone who seems supportive is truly a friend.”

Asked if Salman Khan or Bigg Boss are favouring Kunickaa, Ayaan dismissed it. “If she’s trending and in nominations, then it’s not her fault. Bigg Boss didn’t save her; she saved herself,” he said. On Salman, he was clear: “I don’t think there’s any favouritism. He is the host. He sees intentions, not the situation. He is fair, we all know this.”

For Ayaan, his mother’s mission inside the house is larger than personal gain: “She wants people to call this Bigg Boss season the best, and that is what she’s trying. If people don’t see this, then I don’t know what to say.”
