Actress Ashnoor Kaur, who began her career in front of the camera at just four-and-a-half years old, spoke candidly about body image, confidence and the pressures of growing up under constant public scrutiny in a heartfelt discussion on fellow actor Soha Ali Khan’s podcast All About Her.

The conversation — shared on social media by Soha — delved into Ashnoor’s personal journey of self-acceptance and the mental toll of living much of her life in the spotlight.

Looking back at her formative years, Ashnoor said that building confidence was not just about physical appearance but deeply psychological.

“A lot of it starts mentally,” she explained, noting that trauma and stress can get stored in the body and persist unless addressed with kindness and peace toward oneself. Ashnoor also touched on her experience on Bigg Boss 19, describing the environment inside the house as “toxic” at times and revealing that even people who appear confident still battle deep-seated insecurities.

“No matter how good-looking they are, they still feel that they are not good enough,” she said, highlighting how pervasive self-doubt can be, even among those who seem poised and self-assured on screen.

She candidly shared that over the years she tried various fitness trends, diets and training regimens — from keto and water diets to countless workouts and trainers — but found that none of these external changes brought true confidence. She recounted trying every fitness trend and diet but acknowledged that true confidence comes from within.

“I've literally tried everything. Tapping myself to being on a water diet. Keto. This workout. That workout. Trillions of trainers. Nothing worked.”

From growing up under scrutiny to navigating health, appearance, and self-worth in the public eye, this conversation explores what confidence really means today.

The caption further read: "Had a deeply honest and insightful conversation with Ashnoor Kaur @ashnoorkaur, who shared her journey of growing up in front of the camera and learning to rebuild her relationship with her body, and @shalinimotivates , who added thoughtful perspective on confidence, body language, presence, and self-expression.”
