Arjun Rampal talks about shooting 26/11 sequence in Dhurandhar, calls it "most difficult scene of my life"

Arjun Rampal has opened up about one of the most emotionally draining experiences of his career—filming the deeply unsettling 26/11 sequence in Dhurandhar.

The film has been topping the box office since its release on Friday. It has captivated audiences with its intense portrayal of espionage and terror. But beyond the action and suspense, it’s the performances by Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and others that have left viewers truly shaken.

During an online interaction, Arjun was asked about the atmosphere on set while shooting the now-viral scene. A fan had written to him, "The 26/11 scene was very impactful, as an audience we felt Hamza's character which Ranveer Singh portrayed painfully amazing but as an Indian how did you and other star cast felt while acting as your character and after the scene was cut."

Arjun's response—that it was the “most difficult” scene of his entire career—immediately struck a chord. For the cast, bringing to life a moment closely connected to national trauma meant entering emotional territory that no level of acting experience can fully prepare you for.

One viewer put this into words perfectly, saying "Arjun Rampal revealed that shooting the 26/11 celebration sequence was the toughest moment of his career in #Dhurandhar. Imagine being a Mumbaikar and having to cheer during the attacks even for a scene. The emotional weight is unreal."

The same message continued with admiration for the team’s conviction, "Massive respect to @rampalarjun and the entire #Dhurandhar team for delivering the chilling 'Red Screen' moment with such brutal intensity."

Another audience member noticed the subtlety in Akshaye Khanna’s performance, "Akshaye Khanna was acting reluctant throughout the scene... Arjun Rampal was on fire can understand the emotions though."

Even as audiences process these heavy emotions, Dhurandhar continues to surge at the box office. It has crossed Rs 150 crore in India and reached Rs 224 crore worldwide, with Rs 40 crore coming from overseas markets.
