Alia Bhatt turned heads once again at Milan Fashion Week on Friday, 27 February, taking her spot in the front row for Gucci’s highly anticipated runway show.
The event was especially significant as it marked Demna Gvasalia’s debut as the luxury brand’s new creative director, and Alia — Gucci’s first Indian Global Ambassador since May 2023 — embraced the moment with her usual poise, confidence, and effortless charm.
She arrived in an oversized, shimmering black leather coat that perfectly captured Demna Gvasalia’s “vicious Gothic” and ironic streetwear vision.
The tailored silhouette of the coat was balanced with pointed black heels and a structured black Gucci handbag, while pearl stud earrings and oversized black sunglasses added subtle touches of glamour.
The glossy finish of the coat and its knee-length hemline gave her look both drama and elegance, creating a striking impression that lingered long after she stepped out.
Alia Bhatt’s association with Gucci has been a remarkable journey. Since her debut as the brand’s first Indian Global Ambassador at the Cruise 2024 show in Seoul, she has become a familiar presence at international fashion events, blending high fashion with her own personality.
Her appearances have not just showcased clothes, but also a confident, modern approach to style that feels uniquely hers.
Adding a personal touch, Alia Bhatt shared a handwritten note from Demna Gvasalia ahead of the show. It read, “Dear Alia, Welcome to Milan, and I can’t wait to see you at my Gucci debut. Love, Demna.”
This was not her first Milan outing for Gucci — in 2025, she had worn a structured Milanese coat from the brand’s Famiglia collection, complete with a chain belt featuring the GG emblem.
Over time, Alia Bhatt has shown she can interpret luxury fashion in ways that are bold yet relatable, glamorous yet approachable, proving she belongs on the world stage as much as she does in front of the camera.
