In a recent social media story, Alia Bhatt shared a vibrant and inspiring message on the backdrop of Indian athletes participating in the Olympics, expressing her support for the athletes who will represent India on the world stage. Her story featured a beautifully crafted graphic with the Olympic rings and a message that read, "Onwards and upwards Team India". Her supportive words motivated the players and inspired the public to support them.

The 2024 Paris Olympics officially commenced on 26th July. A total of 117 Indian athletes are set to compete in the Paris Olympics 2024. The Indian squad comprises of 70 male and 47 female athletes, representing the country across 16 different sports disciplines. Additionally, the contingent includes 140 support staff and officials.
Athletics has the largest representation with 29 athletes, followed by shooting with 21 and hockey with 19.
The Indian squad for the Paris Olympics 2024 features familiar faces like Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu, and PV Sindhu, all of whom secured medals at the Tokyo Games, 2021. Chopra aims to secure another Olympic gold, while Sindhu is determined to achieve a historic milestone by winning her third individual Olympic medal, a first for India.
In addition to Alia Bhatt, several other celebrities have also extended their support to the Indian athletes competing at the Paris Olympics, 2024. Deepika Padukone, Taapsee Pannu, Ajay Devgn, and Sunil Shetty have all taken to social media to express their encouragement and best wishes for the athletes.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 featured stunning performances by legendary singer Celine Dion and pop sensation Lady Gaga. French President Emmanuel Macron officially declared the Games open, with the ceremonial duties carried out by French judoka Teddy Riner and former French track and field athlete Marie-José Pérec.
