Deepika Padukone, a renowned Bollywood actress, has recently achieved the milestone of becoming the highest-paid actress in the Indian film industry. With her latest earnings ranging between Rs. 15 to 20 crore per film, she has surpassed other leading actresses such as Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan. This achievement underscores her immense popularity and the significant impact she has made in Bollywood.

Deepika's rise to this position has been fueled by her impressive performances and the commercial success of her recent films. The actress has been part of several blockbuster hits, including "Pathaan," "Jawan," "Fighter," and "Kalki 2898." These films have not only performed well at the box office but have also cemented her status as a leading actress in the industry. Her consistent ability to deliver strong performances and attract audiences has made her a sought-after talent in Bollywood.

Alia Bhatt, who is also a prominent figure in the film industry, holds the second spot in terms of earnings. She commands a fee of Rs. 15 crore per film. Alia's recent projects, including "Gangubai Kathiawadi," "RRR," "Darlings," "Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva," and "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," have been significant contributors to her success. Additionally, her Hollywood debut in "Heart of Stone" has further solidified her standing as a versatile and talented actress. With upcoming projects like "Jigra" and "Alpha," Alia continues to be a formidable presence in the industry.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, another stalwart of Bollywood, charges between Rs. 8 and 11 crore per film. Despite being one of the highest-paid actresses, Kareena emphasizes that her choice of films is not driven solely by financial considerations. She believes in selecting roles based on their artistic value and her personal interest in the project. This approach has allowed her to maintain a diverse portfolio of roles and continue her successful career in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif occupies the fourth spot, charging Rs. 8 to 10 crore per film. Her consistent performances and box office successes have kept her in the top tier of Bollywood actresses. Similarly, Shraddha Kapoor, who also charges Rs. 8 to 10 crore per film, has made a mark with her versatile roles and commercial hits.

Other notable actresses in the industry include Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, Kangana Ranaut, and Taapsee Pannu, who charge between Rs. 5 to 8 crore per film. Each of these actresses has carved out a niche for themselves, delivering performances that resonate with audiences and contribute to their high market value.

The fees commanded by these actresses reflect their significant contributions to the film industry and the high demand for their talent. A producer mentioned that while these rates are for films featuring A-list actors, actresses might charge more for solo female-centric films. The producer noted that if the production cost of such a film is around Rs. 20-25 crore, paying the lead actress Rs. 5 to 7 crore is reasonable. The budget for female-centric films is typically lower, but the actresses' pivotal roles justify the higher fees.
