In a terrifying turn of events, fans of actor Ajith Kumar narrowly avoided what could have been a tragic accident when a massive 285-foot cut-out of the star came crashing down in Tamil Nadu.
The towering cut-out, erected by his fans in celebration of his upcoming film Good Bad Ugly, which is slated for release on April 10, was brought down by strong gusts of wind. A video capturing the frightening moment has gone viral on social media.
In the footage, Ajith’s fans can be seen fleeing the area just in time, managing to escape without injuries. The incident has sparked conversations online about fan safety during such promotional activities.
A video of the incident surfaced on Reddit on Sunday, drawing widespread attention. Many users criticized the risky fanfare, calling it irresponsible, and expressed hope that such gestures are reconsidered in the future to avoid putting lives at risk.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. As per ANI, similar incident took place in 2019. Five people were injured after a massive cut-out of Ajith Kumar had collapsed during a paal abhishekam ceremony, where fans poured milk on the actor’s cut-out as a mark of devotion. The incident occurred while more than half a dozen fans were performing the ritual.
