After winning hearts in 2018 with Raid, Ajay Devgn is gearing up to reprise his role as the determined IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The much-anticipated sequel has generated significant buzz, and fans can now rejoice as the official release date has finally been announced.

Ajay Devgn, the film's lead, shared the poster on his Instagram and revealed that the movie is now slated for release on May 1, 2025.

His caption read, "IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Raid 2 is all set to release on 1st May 2025!

Raid 2 boasts an impressive cast, with Ajay Devgn leading alongside Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist, and Rajat Kapoor in a key role. Extensively filmed in Delhi and Lucknow, the sequel promises another thrilling, adrenaline-packed experience.

Raid 2, directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.

The first installment of Raid was inspired by a real-life income tax raid carried out by IT department officers on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. What set it apart was its distinction as the longest raid in Indian history, lasting an intense three days and two nights.

The film, initially scheduled for release on November 15, 2024, was later postponed to February 21, 2025. It has now been rescheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
