The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has released the provisional answer key and candidate response sheet for XAT 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Xavier Aptitude Test can now check and download the documents from the official website, xatonline.in.

The answer key and response sheet have been released for candidates seeking admission to MBA and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes. Both documents are available in PDF format. To access them, candidates must log in using their XAT ID, password and security pin.

Marking scheme for XAT 2026

Each correct answer carries one mark. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark is deducted. A penalty of 0.10 mark is applied after eight consecutive unattempted questions. There is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the XAT 2026 answer key and response sheet:

  1. Visit the official XAT website at xatonline.in
  2. Click on the link for XAT 2026 answer key or response sheet
  3. Enter your XAT ID, password and security pin
  4. Log in to the candidate dashboard
  5. Click on the Answer Key or Candidate Response option
  6. The XAT 2026 answer key will appear on the screen
  7. Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference

XAT 2026 Exam Details

The XAT 2026 examination was conducted on January 4 in computer based test mode. The test was held from 2 pm to 5 pm across 109 cities in India.

The question paper consisted of 95 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections. Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning had 26 questions. Decision Making included 21 questions. Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation had 28 questions. The General Knowledge section consisted of 20 questions.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates related to objections, score calculation and further admission processes.
