
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 today, March 06, 2025.
As per the merit list released by the Commission, Anuj Agnihotri has scripted success by securing the prestigious All India Rank 1. The announcement brings an end to a long and rigorous selection process that began over nine months ago.
Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull have been named the first and second runners-up, rounding off the top three positions in the country's most competitive examination.
Candidates who appeared for the final stage of the selection process can now view their results on the official UPSC portals. The detailed PDF of the final merit list is available on the Commission’s official websites: upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
To check the result, candidates are advised to download the final list from the ‘What’s New’ section on the homepage and search for their roll numbers.

The Commission conducted the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination on May 25, 2025, which served as the first filter for candidates. Those who qualified then proceeded to the main examination, held from August 22 to August 31, 2025.
The final hurdle was the Personality Test (Interview), which concluded recently on February 27, 2026. This year, the announcement comes slightly later than the typical one-week window usually observed by the UPSC following the conclusion of interviews.

A total of 958 candidates have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various prestigious services including the IAS, IPS, IFS, and Central Services.

Marksheet and Next Steps for Candidates
For those who have been recommended, this is the beginning of their journey into the civil services. For others who did not make the final cut, the detailed mark sheets will be a crucial tool for future attempts.
According to a UPSC official statement, the marks obtained by all candidates in the CSE 2025 will be made available on the website within 15 days from today. Candidates can expect to access their individual mark sheets by March 20, 2026.
The Commission has also activated its support system for candidates seeking clarification. The "Facilitation Counter" located near the Examination Hall in the UPSC campus is open for in-person queries. Candidates can also reach out via phone on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM.
