SBI Clerk Exam 2025: Important Dates and Eligibility

The recruitment process will include two phases of exams:

Preliminary Exam – Scheduled tentatively for February 2025.

Main Exam – Likely to be conducted in March/April 2025.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Between 20 and 28 years (age relaxation applicable as per government norms).

Key Details of the Recruitment Process

SBI invites applications exclusively from Indian citizens for the Junior Associate positions. Applicants are required to choose one State/UT for which they wish to apply, as vacancies are state-specific. Proficiency in the local language of the selected State/UT (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is mandatory.

Local Language Test:

Candidates will undergo a local language proficiency test after clearing the Main Examination but before joining the bank. However, candidates who can provide their 10th or 12th-grade mark sheets as evidence of studying the local language will be exempt from this test.

Additional Points to Note

No Transfers: The Junior Associate role does not offer InterCircle or InterState transfer opportunities.

Selection Process: The selection will be based on Prelims and Mains. Candidates must qualify in both stages to be considered for the position.
