Students across India are once again preparing for Pariksha Pe Charcha, the annual interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and young learners. The programme focuses on helping students approach exams with confidence, manage stress, and maintain a balanced routine.
The 2026 edition will be aired on February 6, 2026, giving millions of students, parents, and teachers an opportunity to watch the session together.
This year’s programme stands out for its scale and reach. For the first time, Pariksha Pe Charcha was organised simultaneously at five locations across the country, Devmogra, Coimbatore, Raipur, Guwahati, and 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. The multi city format reflects the growing popularity of the initiative and aims to connect with students from different regions of India.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi described the interactions as refreshing and inspiring, noting the enthusiasm and openness shown by students. He shared practical suggestions on staying confident, handling challenges, and preparing for exams without unnecessary pressure.
Unlike earlier editions that were largely centred in Delhi, the 2026 programme brought together students from the north, south, east, west, and central parts of the country on a single platform. Videos shared on the MyGovIndia portal highlighted these regional interactions and underlined the national character of the event.
Record Participation
The response to this year’s programme has been significant. According to MyGovIndia, around 4.5 crore students registered online between December 1, 2025, and January 11, 2026. In addition, 2.26 crore participants joined through school-level and related activities.
Since its launch in 2018, the initiative has now recorded over 6.76 crore participants, showing how the programme has developed into a large platform where students can share concerns, discuss coping strategies, and seek guidance before examinations.
Pariksha Pe Charcha began in February 2018 as an interaction held in Delhi with students, parents, and teachers. Over the years, it has expanded in scale and structure. The 2026 edition is the most geographically inclusive so far, reflecting a continued focus on both academic performance and mental well-being.
When and where to watch Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026
The programme will be broadcast on February 6, 2026, and can be watched on Doordarshan, Official digital platforms, including the MyGovIndia portal. Students, parents, and teachers can tune in live to follow the discussion.
With board exams approaching, the session serves as a reminder that while marks matter, maintaining a calm mindset and positive outlook is equally important. For many students, it offers a moment to pause, reflect, and feel supported during the examination period.
